Ocean Swell is a Residential Care Home for the elderly and physically disabled over the age of 35 years, registered for up to 32 clients. We are located in an excellent position overlooking the beach gardens with lovely sea views and the amenities of Westgate-on-sea village including shops, restaurants, pubs, cinema, train station and bus stops – all within a short walk from the home.

Our aim is to provide a caring, comfortable friendly home, where privacy is respected and independence is encouraged while knowing that assistance is always at hand. The Ocean Swell is owned and managed by Denise and Martin Rose; we are available most hours of the day to ensure your satisfaction.

Accommodation consists of a limited number of double rooms with en-suite toilet and bath, the remainder being single rooms all with wash basins, some with en-suite facilities.

All rooms have central heating are fitted with a call bell system and TV point. Personal telephone points can be fitted on request. All rooms and public spaces are protected by an automatic fire detection system. There are 8 ground floor bedrooms; all other bedrooms are accessible by lift. The rooms are personalised, clients are encouraged to bring small items of furniture, pictures etc or their favourite chair.

Ocean Swell is located in Westgate-on-Sea, a village of four thousand people approximately 21/2 miles from Margate. Westgate main shopping area is accessible by wheelchair, three hundred yards from Ocean Swell and includes: doctors surgery, dentists, optician, post office, chemists, news agents, convenience stores, cafés, cinema, pubs, betting shop etc. The public gardens are opposite Ocean Swell and the beach area and cafés are also accessible by wheel chair.

There are as many personalities in our home as there are residents, and so providing customised lifestyle care comes as naturally to us as ensuring residents receive the required personal and medical care.
